Gone are the days of the one-room schoolhouse; where local and national history was shared, lecture-style, to rows of students. Today, our students have a thirst for first-hand understanding of engaging topics. They ask questions and work together to find possible answers, then analyze and discuss them.
Of course we're mindful of the standards and curricula, but it's also our charge to have students use their tools to expand their learning. This page is meant to be an area where stories of Naperville's students (and their teachers) can be showcased. I've started with a few, but look to you to share your students' globalized learning in action. |
Please email me at [email protected] to add your stories, photos, projects, or global inspiration to others.
Walk for WaterFor the second year in a row, Jefferson students and their teachers joined together to support H2O For Life, an organization dedicated to creating wells, clean drinking water, and sanitation stations around the world.
